how many seats are sold?

It's a very small venue of 300 - nevertheless, it would have been embarassing had it not sold out...But it's cool that this is only NOV. 7th and it's already a done deal. This should be a hint to DLR's manager that he should be booking him in larger venues.

Has any one checked with the Casino to see if the Casino itself is still selling tickets?

The ticketing system has been sold out for two weeks or so... but I called the Casino last week and could still get tickets directly...

(just in case anyone here was wanting to get tickets at this late date... don't give up!)

I doubt it. Is there a telephone number? Even if there was, motherfuckers'

Never mind, I'd rather talk about

Never mind, what the fuck is up with Casinos' anyway?

Keep it on track folks. Classic VH was never about gambling.

What a strange thing to gleen from that post...

Anyway Bantonelli, I have my tickets and I can't wait! I'm sure they're selling tickets until they reach their legal capacity. The sign says 390, but they'll squeeze a few more in. Definitely the party of the year in this burg... See you there.

Hell, why not? Anything else would just be a foray into the sublime. I would quit and start a juice bar on the outskirts of Hotlanta. Yeah, that's where the bucks are!

Yeah, well, ME and at least 1/2 of this Army is on the same mindset. Matt Sencio is not winning any awards for Booking Manager of the year...as someone else said on this thread...Classic VH was not a "Casino" band...... I just believe that DLR can sell out larger venues than seating capacity for 500.

So what if it's a gripe....someone else on this website also has a petition going to get DLR back with Ted Templeman....in other words....we do believe in DLR and that his talent measures on a much larger scale as far as we are concerned.

Sorry if my venting creates a problem for you, but I'm not the only one here you feels the same.

did you ever think that maybe, just maybe, Dave instructed Sencio (who, last time i checked, works for Dave, not the other way around) to book smaller rooms?

that petition sucks too. last thing i want is a seventy year old Ted Templeman and his possibly worn-out (if he isn't already fucking DEAF) ears trying to put together a new Dave record.

Perhaps you are right....I'm not going to get in a debate about this....could be a very valid point. I suppose that if you look at the numbers, when DLR travels and plays these very small venues, and only charges $35.00 or less to attend, I often wonder...is he makina a dime off of them? He's got to split the pot 5 ways and I thought that the larger the volume of a venue he plays, he'll make enough to pocket some. On another note, I'm truly happy that DLR is out there to make his fans happy and keeping the CVH music alive and he's not ripping us off with huge prices on tickets to afford attending his shows.

Anyway, Twonabomer, it's cool....but I must ask...what makes you think that Ted Templeman (who is not old, by the way is not still fit for the job?) I don't think he's got deaf ears.....Clive Davis is still around - now that's an old geezer.

yeah, and look at some of the shit Clive has been involved with lately. his genius status is starting to get tarnished.

Someone posted yesterday to call the AMERISTER CASINO for their box office - apparently they are still selling tickets, but Tickets.com is not.

Pat Torpey is the new drummer.

WHY THE FUCK WON'T DLR PLAY HIS HOME STATE OF CALIFORNIA???!?!?!?!?

That's what makes his manager fucked up in my mind! I haven't seen him since he was in classic Van Halen, because the (very) few times he HAS played here, there is little to no promotion, and I only hear about the shows after the fact!

Hey Keeyth, I basically said the same as you, but Twonabomber said I was whining about Sencio. I also want to know WHY DLR is not playing his home turf of California... he certainly has more fans than enemies in this neck of the woods...Van Halen and Hagar have NO EXCLUSIVITY to the West Coast....I don't get it either.

Looking up Sencio's credentials, looks like his previous experience is Booking Mgr. for Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. Apparently there seems to be some favoritism for east coast gigs and as far as west coast is concerned, it's Casino's on Indian Reservations... ?? POW-WOW
