I'm mostly familiar with his Missing Persons career. Some of the instrumental stuff like "fight of love" have an interesting arrangement and formula.

Anyone know what kind of amps and guitar building he used to get that sound?

I rememer in Missing Persons he had a strat body cut-down to just a stick, and the headstock cut down to a paddle.

I have no idea why he'd do that, just had the body bandsawed straight down alongside the strings between both cutaway horns.

I think he endorsed a solidstate amp line such as ROAD or Lab Series too, which would account for his really clear highs, tight and shrill uppermidrange, fast lower midrange and virtually little bass tone and no sustain.

He's a grate player and writer.

Actually, I believe the one you're talking about was made out of a VOX wah pedal and a neck (!). Interesting player/writer.....

Warren used to play Hamers. I think he played Specials.

Duran Duran fill-in anybody?

Solid if unspectacular "new-wave"-style guitarist that emphasized the song-as-a-whole over soloing...

What's he doing now? (Since the orig. DD has reunited.)

He's enjoying some buttermilk biscuits with his sugarpie.

Just like me. My sugarpie sho loves her dark meat.

Yeah!
