Smokin clip from the movie Crossroads. It's a shame you can't actually see Vai doing the arpeggios.

If anyone is curious there used to be a Vai interview on Launch (I believe). He said that he was impressed with how much practice Ralph Machio put in to look convincing. So much that at the time everyone thought it was really him playing. And its not just appregios. I believe its a classical piece called "Turkish March" by I forget who. He also said Ry Cooder played all the slide stuff so you're right about that. I have his soundtrack cd somewhere. Its all just stuff he did for tv and movies over the years like "Crossroads" and "Bill And Ted's" you know. Interesting shit. He even sings a few.

Whoever the fuck Kevin Parsons is, he's not really playing in that video clip...

Fucking Ralph Macchio did a better job of pretending to play in Crossroads...
