Fucking Nelson were never metal to begin with.

But that doesn't lessen their gayness.

mako_kimura

they thought they were metal, just because they had shitty guitar solos

Jurak

Poison. That, or Bon Jovi...

Poison was cool. Say what you want to about Bon Jovi but they were killer in the 80's and just about any chick I knew back then dug 'em and my wife still plays their CDs. Love em or hate them they sold millions of albums, CDs and nobody sold out a show like they did back then.

Yeah, but you have to admit that their gayness has multiplied many times since "New Jersey".

"Always" = gay.

"Bed of roses" = gay.

"This ain`t a love song" = gay.

"Bounce" = gay.

"Have a nice day" = gay.

Let`s face it, Bon Jovi are GAY.

Nah, we don't have to worry about Great White fans anymore. The band themselves killed them.

Just because tons of chicks liked them and they sold millions of records does nothing to lessen their wussiness for me.

But then again Bon Jovi were never about metal, and neither was Poison. Neither were cool back in the day and seeing them through the nostalgic looking glass does nada to alter that perception.

They were a couple of pop bands who dressed in 80s metal gear, far as I'm concerned. Sheeps in wolves clothing.

That said it all.

"Non-threatening" Metal, if you will.

Hey I didn't bring them into this to begin with. You want to spout off about how gay they are I'm just stating a fact and why the fuck would someone bring Great White into it, as if they don't have enough of shit to worry about! Back to Nelson, now what was wrong with "After the Rain" it was a cool song. It was back in the day just like when you were playing "Beat it" by Michael Jackson.

:killer: You seem to know the lyrics a little better than myself, LOL. I don't know any songs from Motorhead or a few of the other bands mentioned. It all depends on your taste. I may want to kick back and listen to a little Sinatra after watching a grueling football game:D

I agree. Dolled himself up like a fag, because that's what was selling. Take a look at the other bands of the 90's and tell me they didn't wear foundation and 4 gallons of gel. *cough cough* Bon Jovi anyone?

Notice Dave stopped with the "prettying" after ALAE? Now, Rite tool. If you hate Dave so much not just, Why do you come here?, but also why would your username be one of his songs. A cool one to boot? Just wondering.

Never saw the big deal about Great White, but then again, they were never Metal to me. Just straight-up rock...maybe hard rockish at times.

Nelson was just pop to me.

A lot of those 80s metal bands, particularly LA-based ones, tended to LOOK the part rather than play like it.

Then again, when I think of 'metal', I'm thinking along the lines of JP and Maiden.

Great White always seemed to be a Blues Band to me, I love their cover of Ian Hunter kicked ass. They just happened to come out during the Hair Metal era. If they came out during like 1976 or something you'd be talking about a different band.
