it's getting longer and longer between albums. i don't even want to count the last one. when will we see a new one of original material? or is dave just going to save all his best lines for radio? skyscraper is almost wore out...and that's on cd!

an 11 song 40 minute recording just titled DAVID LEE ROTH..... with back cover saying (...shovin it up your ass....) put some weird pics on there like from alae and make one of those vintage diamond dave videos....SHIT THIS IS GETTING ME EXCITED!! I CAN ALMOST SEE THE LONG OVERDUE COMEBACK!!!!! i got to go get a cup of tea now and calm down. i would prefer a drink but that only makes me want to watch some old footage and get real drunk and fucked up....not that there's anything wrong with that!

fuck the radio show....dave needs to put out the killer record first, regain the respect and admiration of the rock community at large, then do radio. otherwise replacing stern comes off as a last ditch effort at fame.

I'd like Dave to do a complete album of Bluesy cover tunes. The stuff that you hear when you listening to one of his songs. Some material that really influenced his musical direction.
That would be cool. Many old VH tunes get that tap as well.

I don't think he will release another album until his radio gig is done which could probably be a long time so Diamond Dave is his LAST one for now.

I agree...but look at it this way: Dave has given us some amazing moments in rock history...he's 52 years old...now a radio personality. The possibility is slim..at least that's what I think. What he needs to do is release some LIVE material from the good ol days and maybe some unreleased stuff. THIS is the shit i've been waiting for...rock on!

I'm not so much worried about the VH camp...although it will put Roth out there more...
I'm sure with the pub that Roth will get from this...it will make him even more "wanted" in the VH sense of the word...
I don't know...we'll have to wait and see...
but I'll bet you we'll get a Roth album in some form before 2007...

Oh I know. I think that ROTH will do something musically as well.
But he will also be putting VAN HALEN out there, whether he wants too or not...
I really think ED will eventually turn up on his show...(if it lasts more than six months).
