Taking things one day at time apparently didn't work out for Valerie Bertinelli. The former sitcom star has finally filed for divorce from Eddie Van Halen, citing irreconcilable differences.

It should be hard to imagine Eddie wanting to go down the new lead singer road again, 'specially after what happened with Cherone.
Ed's gotta know that getting anyone in the band other than Roth at this point is just gonna deepen the crater that was once his career. Nobody gave two shits about any of those 2004 Sam Halen tracks, and even Al knows people wanna see CVH over Van Hagar.
Yep, SHOULD be hard to imagine the sisters gearing up for Van Halen IV, but then these two have been making such bad choices for so long now that it only makes sense in a lot of ways...it's like, of COURSE they're gonna get another new singer, ya know!?

Who cares I just wish they wouldn't call the shit Van Halen. Its ironic that all along the Bros have been ripping Dave like he would be some sort of nostaglia parody of the old act. Fact is the bros have flown this plane nose first into the ground and Dave's the only guy who could ever save it. Last time I checked Dave had six pack abs, all the high notes, and a lethal drop kick. Other than a new haircut dude is about as good as he ever was and the VH's are the parody.

OK, I admit it - I'm actually in the running.
Waiting for Al's call back.
The plan, so far as I've been told, is to release a 3 CD best of set with 4 new songs, then we'll tour and play a FAIR AND BALANCED live set of 3 Roth songs, 12 Hagar songs, 1 or 2 Cherone songs and a cover or two thrown in for good measure.
That oughta shake things up in the Van Halen world!
