I was at this show on Saturday night.

They don`t sell as as many records as they once did but these boys can still put on a hellavu show, filled with great songs and brilliant set pieces.

This particular tour is to celebrate the 20th anniversary of "On a storyteller`s night", not only one of Magnum`s best albums, but one of the finest British rock (but not metal) albums of the 80`s.

The boys are looking a bit older but still have plenty of energy.

Set list
=====

Brand new morning
Rocking chair
Backsteet kid
Need a lot of love
Soldier of the line
We all run
The Spirit
Vigilante
Sacred hour

(Interval)

How far Jerusalem
Just like an arrow
On a storyteller`s night
Before first light
Les morts dansant
Endless love
Two hearts
Steal your heart
All England`s eyes
Kingdom of madness

The first half of the show was good but the second half was fantastic, the band raising the roof off of the 1,500 capacity club with almost all of the "...Storyteller`s night" album in it`s entirety, only missing the final number "The last dance".

I never realised how good it can be hearing a great album played live back-to-back.

Anyhow, if you get the chance, check these guys out.

They rock.
