If controlling him was equal to keep creating good music with the madman in mind I preffer that than the "Mama I'm coming home" guy that Ozzy became.
Offcourse that's what a fan like me want....not necesary what the artist want.....and by the way Ozzy made a lot more money when changed from a madman to a pupped.

I like Zakk WYLDE, and the black label society btw... Ozzy never had a bad guitar player.

No More Tears was the beginning on the downfall I'll agree.

I liked No more Tears too. and also found No Rest for the Wicked a great album ( far better than Ultimate Sin) but I really don't like the change in the music. The image?....well, I can live with that

Jake was okay. Bark At The Moon was purty geuud.

Dunno what happened by the the time the Ultimate Sin came around...the songwriting on that was kinda muddled, IMO.

The two albums I have heard Zakk with Ozzy on (No Rest For The Wicked, No More Tears) sounded good, guitar-wise. Have never bothered to check out Black Label Society, so I have no idea about Wylde beyond those two albums...the guy can play, no doubt, but is he really talented to the point where he warrants a cover of Guitar World seemingly every other month?

Jake kinda vanished after Badlands. What's he doing now? Anyone?
