According to Billboardradiomonitor.com, when CBS Radio unveiled in late October the personalities who will replace morning man Howard Stern on 27 of its stations, president/CEO Joel Hollander hinted that the company might also syndicate them to stations it doesn’t own. CBS-managed Westwood One announced Tuesday it would exclusively distribute Stern replacements DAVID LEE ROTH (ex-VAN HALEN) and Adam Carolla to non-CBS stations nationwide. The deal also makes Westwood One the exclusive national advertising representative of the two new morning drive shows. Roth will broadcast from CBS-owned WXRK (soon to be WFNY) New York beginning January 3. Sister stations KLLI Dallas, WYSP Philadelphia, WBCN Boston, WRKZ Pittsburgh, WNCX Cleveland and WPBZ West Palm Beach will simulcast his show.

Ironic enough as I click submit for my last post ... a guy on TV who backs into "According to Jim"s car says he did it because "He was listening to howard stern on the radio, he has two strippers kissing!"

My sweeter half is always ribbin' me for all this DAVE stuff going on and the other night the grandkids are watchin' sponge bob and all of a sudden BOB breaks into singing BUMULA ZEEBALA BUMULA ZEEBALA BOP and she's awakened from here slumber saying "OH BROTHER!" Stern co-owns his tapes/content with Infinity. part of his contract read that if they were to part ways, the co-ownership would remain, but Stern can't play his tapes at his new gig, and Infinity can't play his tapes after the contract runs out, which is 12-31-05.

Stern has paid for air-conditioned storage of his tapes since Infinity wasn't interested in footing the bill.
