Anybody ever have their high E string slip and get hung up on the neck of an EBMM Axis while playing? I have had the guitar for a year now, but this just started happening. Appreciate any tips.

Just jammin a bit and I thought I had broken the high E string. Upon further review, the string got hung up on the side of the neck. I gave it some slack/retuned and it was good for a few weeks until it happened again.

I'm guessing it doesn't have a locking nut ??

I'm guessing because you didn't give me specific details...

Hey, I'm a smartass, but I'm also knowledgable with guitars...;)

Sorry Doctor, here are some details:

So, it does have a locking nut...

Hmmm...

Slightly loosen the neck retaining screws (SLIGHTLY) and move the neck in the neck pocket so there is a little more distance from the high E string and the edge of the fretboard...

Walla!

Then re-tighten...

But NOT SUPER TIGHT!

A guitar is not an engine block!

I learned that the hard way on a 1986 Japanese Strat that I tried to operate on while under the influence.:)

Adjustments made and played. So far so good, with no "Slippage or Drippage". Thanks..:rockit2:

You must be out of the HMO network Doc. Normally only a $5 co-pay.... How about a cool old concert photo as payment?
