Hey, I heard the PLUG for the army this morning! Great stuff!!!

I think it's coming along. He's finding his feet. I hope it continues to progress into a real show.
I've been surfing the web about the DLR on the radio topic. There's a lot of haters out there. Not hating him because of the Van Halen split (though there are many out there), but now because he's taken the Stern slot on the radio.
Sceptics give him no more than 3 months.
Others are comparing him to Conan when he started getting into late night tv. Guess Conan found his feet, and his audience found him...

Man, I have been waiting to hear a shout out to the Army and I heard TWO this morning! I got up this morning and turned on the radio and got on the treadmill to do a little exercise. Sometime between 6:30 and 7:00 I heard FHS give a shout out to the Army and I almost fell off my treadmill and flew into the wall behind me. Nice! And Dave was digging it. Then later, to my utter disbelief, I hear a second shout out, from Nate, and he was really plugging the "organization". And Dave said something like "thank you that really means a lot to me". Dave was giving kudos to his loyal Army. I think the Army has to become a regular part of the show, as loyal footsoldiers, fighting for the cause!

Great show today by the way. Dave is totally addicting. I'm feel'in the thunderbolt.

He did, HOWARD said that he listened to DAVE and that DAVE had said something to the effect that, "radio was easy, this radio stuff wasn't heavy lifting."

HOWARD basically stated that he didn't agree, that real radio to him was hard on an emotional level because one had to be honest and really open up on the air for a good show...

He also said that RYAN SEACREST was basically lame and "bubble gum" to him...

Non-sequiters and a studio full of fake-laughing yes-men: Roth's show reminds me of a junior college radio show. It's not even accidentally entertaining. Corolla's show, while not amazing, demonstrates a RADIO talent. I've seen Roth a half dozen times over the years and the pointless blatherings that used to be kind of entertaining in 30 second jobs between songs just doesn't play out well when stretched to 4 hours.
