You think spandex and slippers is actually ANY different from capri's and sandels????????
My lord, open your eyes!!!!!
Spandex was ridiculous in 1984, let alone 2004!!! But, it is entertaining in a "Spinal Tap" kinda way!Comment

Quality NEVER gets old.....it's been 40 years since the beatles and they are timeless.....true Van Halen, GOOD Van Halen is the first six albums...anyone with taste knows that, if you like Van hagar the Horrible, then you're at the wrong site.
GO AND SIN SOME MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!Comment

"Quality never gets old".....
???????
Spandex is quality????
I'm NOT a Van Hagar fan; however, I wouldn't dislike it if they actually did something good.
I'm a realist...You can force yourself to like "Cheatin' Heart Cafe" while you really know that you hate it but can't accept it...
Its sad really, kinda like the 35-40 year old "women" who hang out at the corner bar, with their stone-washed jeans and puffy hair, waiting for the end of the night so they can slow dance and cry to "Wonderful Tonight" because they "feel it".....they also have rose tatoos on their ankles.Comment

I'm a realist too. Bashing Dave at a site decicated to him and his fans is in poor taste.
VH Forums is for all incarnations of the band. This site celebrates David Lee Roth and Classic VH.
And don't knock Dave because you don't look good in your spandex.Last edited by ALinChainz; 04-03-2004, 04:23 PM.Comment

Poor taste??? Merely a statement of fact.
Is wearing a mop of fake white dyed ghetto hair in good taste?Comment

Ask someone at the forums, someone who might care.
Dave fan site. Classic VH.
You saying you listen to no music thats 20 years or older?Comment

I do, but not once I've heard it 5,764,241 times.
No one can listen to "Hot for Teacher" without puking anymore, or "Running with the Devil", or "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love"...aarrggh!
But, you CAN still listen to the less played stuff..."Push Comes to Shove", "Big Bad Bill", well, pretty much any of "Fair Warning" come to think of it...just anything that's not played out.
If I ever hear "Jump" again I'll puke...just like I did when I first heard it. Sure it has a great off-beat solo section (something Dave's bands have NEVER gotten nearly right) but its a horrible song. There are actually several Hagar songs better. And I don't really consider Van Hagar in the same way as Van Halen. Some of its OK, some good, but you can't really compare the two.
That doesn't change the fact that all of this stuff gets tiring and should be added to the list of songs that should NEVER be played again.Comment

To me, when it went from "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love" to "When Love Walks In", that was the end.
You can't compare the two, I agree.
Van Hagar is power ballads and Grammy awards. Freakin' Justin Timberlake won a Grammy. To me that says this incarnation of VH is a sell out, just as Aerosmith has become.
And anyone who says this reunion would even come close to what the buzz would be if it were Dave back instead isn't rational, or a realist.
They aren't playing any Dave era songs on tour and I for one am glad.Last edited by ALinChainz; 04-03-2004, 04:46 PM.Comment

They ARE playing Roth songs for some unknown reason...
Aerosmith became a sell-out a LONG time ago...around 1987 (remember "Dude Looks Like a Lady"???)Comment
