Oakland Show

Does anyone know how i can get on DVD the Oakland show in 82 or 81?.Ive also sent an email to daves radio email address to find out when/if any of the classisc concert stuff will ever be 'officially released'.

I was at the Oakland Colliseum June 12, 1981. I graduated from high school on June 11th. AS I recall, VH played 2-3 nights in the Bay Area. It was basically a good weekend. Too bad mini video cameras didn't exist back then.

Montreal 1984 was entirely filmed (O.K... bad quality) but mini camera or not... It's been done!

I have it and still enjoy watching Diamond Dave smelling like sex, through my TV screen...

Actually there was 3 shows taped in Oakland 81(6/11, 12, & 13/81) and special attention was made to the first show and there is some confusion as to which of the 3 shows was used for the 3 videos

Secondly, there was also a Largo Warner Pro shot concert (7/28/81) of that tour

I've got the 1984 video from Montreal. The footage is poor quality but fun to watch.
Can't believe that was 22 years ago!

2.) The "WOMEN AND CHILDREN FIRST" "WORLD INVASION" Tour 1980....
"A Dutch cinematographer (reportedly named Snade Krellmans) was hired to document the tour on film and the band intended to release a documentary that would rival the WHO's The KIds Are Alright and LED ZEPPELIN's THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME. UNFORTUNATELY, the footage was never released."

3.) 9/19-20/80: Sports Arena, Los Angeles, CA... "At Least One of these L.A. shows was filmed. DAVE even invited the camera crew on stage to film the audience."

4.) 6/11, 12, & 13/81: Oakland Coliseum, Oakland, CA... According to DAVE, ALL THREE OF THESE SHOWS were filmed, but only the third night was a keeper. According to WARNER BROTHERS, special attention was paid to the FIRST show...There remains some confusion about exactly which show was used for the (three) videos."

5.) 7/28/81: Capitol Centre, Largo, MD... WARNER BROTHERS films these shows.

6.) 10/11-12/82: Capitol Centre, Largo, MD...WARNER BROTHERS filmed these shows.

7.) 10/27/82: Montreal Forum, Montreal, QE...Video recordings exist.

8.) 11/13/82: Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, Uniondale, NY...Video recordings exist.

9.)1/16/83: Paliebro, Caracas, VENEZUELA....Video recording exist.

10) 1/22/83: Ibirapuera Gymnasium, Sao Paulo, BRAZIL...Video recording exists.

11.) 2/11/83: Auditorio Obras, Buenos Aires, ARGENTINA...Video
recording exist.

12.) 5/29/83:US FESTIVAL Glen Helen Regional Park, San Bernardino, CA...Video exist. "Four of the songs performed were included in a special ShowTime presentation of the three-day event: "Running With the Devil." "(Oh) Pretty Woman," "You Really got ME," " and "Happy Trails". The film was done by Pacific Video and was produced by Robert Lombard and Noel Monk. Donn Landee was in charge of the audio. All four tunes were touched up with numerous overdubs prior to being shown."

13.) 3/26/04: Capitol Centre, Largo, MD...

WARNER BROTHERS films this show.

14.) 4/19/84: Montreal Forum, MOntreal, QE...Video recording exist.

15.) 8/18/84: Donington Park Castle, Donington, Leicestershire, UK...This VAN HALEN show was FILMED and the performance of "Hot For Teacher" was used by European MTV.

On my version, Dave keeps telling the Largo fans, it's great to be in Baltimore Washington, good drugs
The Largo show is a 2 dvd set and most people only have 1 dvd of that show because somebody cut corners and only wanted to copy to one disc and obviously the quality of the show was downscaled to save space
I've talked to people who are missing the last songs of You Really Got Me and Happy Trails from that show

My Largo '82 show is only one DVD.

Anyone got the 2-DVD set?

My burner can burn dual layer discs, so I would certainly like to get a 2-disc set so I could burn them both to one dual-layer DVD.

Mine is also 1 disc but a friend in Brazil has the 2 disc version. I think whoever made the disks cut corners and lost some of the video quality.
I checked with BTB Productions and they claim Largo is 2 disk set. Alot of fans out there are missing the last 2 tracks on their dvd,You Really Got Me and Happy Trails are missing, mine personally is missing the second half of You Really Got Me after they do Happy Trails
I am looking for the 2 disk version myself

There is a guy from England selling a 2 disk Largo version but I think it is a copy, he has no artwork for it so that is why I think that
