    Everyone needs a little controversy: Album covers that were banned, removed, altered or raised a huge amount of controversy. In chrono order. Suggestions welcome & credited. Other covers that don't appear to have created controversy or I can't find documentation saying it was banned, controversial (or obviously would have created an outcry) or altered against the artists wishes are included in a sister list.

              As it should be!! I used to have the original Virgin Killer album jacket, but I think my Mom threw it in the trash because of the naked chickee on the cover. Cool stuff in 1976...

                      cannibal corpse are sick.the album covers should all be banned.as should the songs because they have some sick ass names like Five Nails Through The Neck or Hammer Smashed Face.They are EVIL

                                  I met up with them VERY briefly years back and they're actually pretty decent, friendly guys - that are just selling a product to a particular audience, I'm sure.

                                  Still it's not my thing, but I will say their cover of "Zero the Hero" was one of the more interesting Black Sabbath remakes I've heard over the years...

                                              I don't know why Andrew W.K. is on there. He didn't even victimize anyone. Besides, that motherfucker puts maximum intensity in all aspects of his music. Even down to the album covers.

                                                          I have that Virgin Killers album with the girl on front. I read she was 16, the age of consent.
                                                          Great tunes on there!
                                                          Also, the album Taken By Force was banned as well. It origionally came with a photo of a cemetary full of tomb stones on the cover. Banned in North America.
                                                          All the Scorpions music from the 70's was great. It never got the reconition it was due.
