    Devo Kids Group?

    Q: DEVO + Disney = ? - - - - A: DEV2.0

DEV2.0 is a strange, Corporate-Feudal experiment that attempts to bring the original DEVO music sensibility to children in the 5 to 8 year old demographic range.

The band is composed of 5 talented kids ranging in age from 10 to 12 years old. They are able to play and sing. DEVO produced the music for them and Gerald Casale directed all of the videos for the DVD which was funded by Buena Vista Records, a division of the Disney Company.

From Billboard.com: The "Devo 2.0" CD is due March 17 via Disney Sound. A companion DVD will feature animated and live action videos for each of the tracks directed by Devo bassist and co-founder Gerry Casale.

My god... And here I was thinkin' "It couldn't get any worse than the Buttfuck Boys makin' a comeback"...
Who the fuck comes up with this shit, and what's (s)he smokin'? Crystal Meth?

Ironic, isn't it? The theory of Devolution brought to a new, brighteyed generation, in a easily digestible package... Albeit, extremely watered down.

Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

Well..... at least kids would be going around singing some intelligently written songs instead of the typical boy band crap, which is usually written by their pedophile managers.

I look at this more like the Chipmunks doing Beatles cover albums in the 60's.

Except the Beatles weren't in charge of the project.

My sister gave me this album for my birthday a couple years back. This has 3 of there pre-WB days. One concert is from 1977 at Max's Kansas city in NYC, the next one is recorded at The Crypt in Akron, Ohio back in 1976 and the last one is a trip, they were hired as a joke opening act for Sun Ra way back in 1975?!?! Anyway, I'd like to send copies of this album since it's out of print and sells for $40 off of amazon.com for a used copy, but I'm afraid of uploading it due to the fear of litigation. So does anyone know about mp3 file sharing?

So they won't be singing these songs on Devo 2.0?

                    Be stiff:

                    Penetration in the centerfold:

                    Pink Pussycat:

                    Speed Racer:

                    Bamboo Bimbo:

Or even "I need a chick":

All of these shitty CDs with kids singing actual songs are a joke.
