    Question about Vai and Sheehan

Hey everyone, this is my first post, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.

Could someone please tell me the sorted story of why Billy Sheehan was fired and why Vai quit during Skyscraper? Was there bad blood?

I've been searching for this information and can't find anything. All I've found is that Vai left to pursue a solo career, but I have to think there's more to it.

Anyway, please fill me in.......Sorry if this sounds stupid, or if most of you already know this info. I'm 21 and just discovered DLR.

    Thanks

Nice to meet all of you....

Billy Sheehan left after Skycraper was made.....he felt the album had very little bass and didn't have enough say in the final production, while Steve Co-produced the record.

Vai was offered ONE MILLION by David Coverdale (WHITESNAKE)

Vai knew he could release a solo effort with this kind of cash

And the rest is history, Both Sheehan and Vai have been very successful and both will be on tour in Europe this summer.

Also, Vai's new solo record will feature Billy and on Billy's new record both Vai & Ray Luzier will be part of!

THE GREATEST BAND OF ALL TIME....SHEEHAN, VAI, BISSONETTE & DAVE

Some other things I wanted to add was in my opinion it was stupid for them to leave Dave. Billy went to Mr. Big ( I will never understand that).

They were both frustrated about the Skyscraper album but thats not a good enough reason to leave. Bands argue all the time about things.

Steve had the courtesy to leave after the tour not like Billy.

Billy is my favorite bass player but that doesn't stop me from critisizing him when I think he made a mistake.
