Me: Why it's the sling that is holding up her fake belly, of course!
Childbearing Hipster: I don't actually have words. Wait, I have this: the weird belly covering doesn't exactly discount the rumors of fakeness, does it?
The Salad Days Chronicles Mama: Looks like a bodysuit-type-device, especially made for Katie, to ensure that her fake bump doesn't fall off in public.

This is becoming very much like "The Stand", except we're not all in Utah and Nevada...and a superflu hasn't decimated the world's population...and Tom Cruise isn't quite as intimidating as Randy Flagg...and neither Rob Lowe, Molly Ringwald or Gary Sinise has shown up to do anything...there isn't a hit song called "Baby Can You Dig Your Man?" either...
...but other than that, this is just like "The Stand".

Tom Cruise wants so badly for us to believe he impregnated Katie the normal way to hide the fact that all of Hollywood knows he's gay.
I really liked Katie during the Dawson's Creek time, but now she's a Scientologist on a mission for "Risky Business" becoming Hollywood's first Gay-inseminated Mama.
