did dave fuck eddies wife?

i heard this years ago, when the split happened. apparently dave fucked eddies wife or was cracking on to her and ed threw a wobbler and chucked him out. anybody know anything about this?

im new to this board by the way, and grew up with VH.

Always heard it was Alex's wife, Valerie...Kendall? Think that was her last name.

Apparently she was a bit of a slut, but those rumors started shortly before Roth left in 1985. Think Alex maried her in 1982/1983.

I would be doubtful Dave fucked Valerie Bertinelli! I may have this wrong but hasn't Dave said he didn't like her, that she was Van Halen's "Yoko Ono"?

Besides, seems like Alex is the main aggressor in the VH camp that wants to perpetuate hatred against David Lee Roth, not Ed.

Kerrang (UK Mag) initially published the story that Dave had slept with Valerie Van Halen (at the time both Ed and Al's wife were called Valerie). Ed got wind of this and confronted Dave about it (thinking it was his Val). Somehow Ed recieved a broken wrist during this - the official line is that he slipped.

I don't know of any account of Al confronting Dave about this, but Dave is said to have admitted it was Al's wife he slept with.

You are correct, it was Kerrang that sparked the rumour off during the 1984 tour. By that time, I believe Al already divorced Kendall and remarried.
