    Cheney Accidentally Shoots Fellow Hunter

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured a man during a weekend quail hunting trip in Texas, his spokeswoman said Sunday.

Harry Whittington, 78, was "alert and doing fine" after Cheney sprayed Whittington with shotgun pellets on Saturday at the Armstrong Ranch in south Texas, said property owner Katharine Armstrong.

Armstrong said Cheney turned to shoot a bird and accidentally hit Whittington. She said Whittington was taken to Corpus Christi Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

Cheney's spokeswoman, Lea Anne McBride, said the vice president was with Whittington, a lawyer from Austin, Texas, and his wife at the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

Happens all the time, most bird dogs have some shot in their hide.

But, oh so wrong and he wouldn't hunt on my team, for a long time..LOL

Unless he really apologizes and buys a bottle of real expensive Brandy.

The DCE will have a field day with this..

Accidents happen, especially if safety is secondary on hunting trips.

And you're right, the DCE will spin it politically right on que as the sacks of communist shit always do to advance an agenda.

But that's ok, their day of reckoning is swiftly approaching and i stand in anticipation of that day, armed and ready.

If I made the mistake of inviting a careless Dick Cheney type to a hunt, and he even scratched my Lab with some 7 shot, I would beat the sorry S.O.B. like a "rented mule!"

Man they would have a field day with ANY Little incident:

WASHINGTON - Vice President Dick Cheney accidentally shot and injured an intern with a rubber band during a White House "pretend office warfare game", his spokeswoman said Sunday.
Charry Candy, 18, was "alert and doing fine" after Cheney snapped Candy with a rubber band on Saturday at the oval office.

White House sources said Cheney turned to shoot a picture of Al Gore and accidentally hit Candy. Candy was taken to George W. Chimpy Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

Cheney's spokeswoman, Lea Anne McBride, said the vice president was with Candy at the hospital on Sunday afternoon.

That's not a ringing endoresement for Traffic Safety either, but just like here, accidents happen.

Besides, Gun laws have nothing to do with hunting since the laws on the books refer to "crimes" involving firearms. (unless of course you shoot a particular animal out of season)
Hunting, is not a criminal activity...

You've got that right. I took a day off and got out last Wed with one of my hunting pals of 15 years. We managed to scratch out a few pheasants and a nice pile of Chukar, but on more than one ocasion we passed on shots because they were not safe or low fliers in front of my high octane Lab.

I believe it is called being a responsible hunter/friend.....

Whittington, is an Austin attorney and Bush-Cheney campaign contribuor. Maybe the envelopes to the RNC were getting a little "thin"....
