    Check out Blabbermouth or http://www.megadeth.com,

Good choice for Mr Mustaine, Lomenzo is an awesome bassist, saw him with DLR in London several year's back.

This will def bring something to the table for the new deth album.

Wierd. DLR's old bass player joins Dave Mustaine's band and Dave Mustaine's old drummer joins DLR.

Mustaine is a washed up has been, he hasn't put anything decent out since the early nineties. I don't see how Lomenzo can save his sorry career.

You could say exactly the same about DLR.

the main difference between Megadeth & DLR is that Megadeth is still touring the world and making big releases.

Im a fan of both bands but Megadeth is still hugely popular world over.

Adding Lomenzo to the fold is an awesome ingredient and im excited for the new Deth album.

Well both Daves go thru alot of personnel.

I think Lomenzo's a strange fit. He's played with Black Label Society but that's not really Megadeth type music. Good guy though. Mustaine's not saying why his (old) bass player, James Macdonough, left. Who knows.

You are right, however it's a matter of better management, not strongest releases.

I think Diamond Dave's management has been the worst thing happening to him.

Ozzy is way less talented than Dave, and Dave proved it in 1978 when he stole the Sabbath's show hands down, but Ozzy has Sharon that managed to make his shit smell good and his goofy antics shine.

Good management also put artists in touch with good musicians, expecially when they are not able to compose songs themselves. On this account, Mustaine is stronger, because he writes his own stuff.

Dave has had good musicians through the years, but none were remotely in par with Eddie's songwriting on guitar; maybe only Steve Vai and Sheenan.

I think that with a better management, Dave would have been still strong and big worldwide. It's very common that the frontman takes over the whole fanbase of a group. It just didn't happen because Dave wasn't marketed properly. Look at Robbie Williams. He's not even worth Dave's fart after he's got too much beans and broccoli to eat.

Mustaine is a douchebag anyway. He's sued and been sued by almost any bandmember who ever had the disgrace to fiddle with him. He's been fired by Metallica because he smashed James Hetfield in the mouth after James tried to defend the bassist's car from being destroyed by Mustaine's pittbull dogs on purpose: apparently he was punch drunk and enjoying it. He fired the first band over drug issues, the second band because the guitarist, in his mind, wanted to get laid with his girlfriend, so he fired also the drummer, who was the guitarist's best friend. Then he fired Menza, Friedman, Al Pitrelli, Jimmy DeGrasso and, ultimately, David Ellefson, because this last guy, after 20 years of gigging and composing songs as well, wanted a piece of the band's publishing and be treated as an equal. Comparing Diamond Dave to this utter piece of shit is an insult.

While preparing songs for a potential new record, Dave Mustaine states that Megadeth has parted ways with bassist Jimmy MacDonough and hired James LoMenzo on Feb. 10, 2006.
"I want to thank Jimmy for everything and wish him the best in his future endeavors. He is knowledgable, and a good enough bassist to run his own outfit and I look forward to what he does musically."

Mustaine also mentions, "It was recommeded I check out James LoMenzo by a friend, because I was uncertain which direction I wanted to take with the bassist, prior to starting the next record and everything just clicked."

LoMenzo (formerly with Black Label Society, David Lee Roth, etc.) will play the Dubai Desert Rock Festival with Megadeth on March 16th, 2006.

I never would of seen this coming...could be cool though.
                      Seems like an odd mix.

                            Lomenzo is a good player.

I give him 6 months before Dave(Megawithdrawls) Mustainus finds a reason to fire him.

Ellefson is a coat tail riding , yes-man leech. Mustainus is smart enough not to bring that clown back.I'll give him that ....
