In 1986...the new version became a damn good pop band...hardly a tradition that the name Van Halen deserved...
but the Van Halen LEGACY from 78-85 was still in place...
many pop albums ensued...
LEGACY slipped a bit...
1996...legacy regenerated with 2 new tunes...
then SHATTERED with the velvet homo...
then the shattered pieces swept into the garbage with the Hagar reunion...
and now?

the name and legacy disappears into a joke wrapped into an enigma of shit...

Its sad though.
Because of all that crap and potentially this stupid Rock STar thing, "Van Halen" will never be seen in the same light as say Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, the Stones, or other bands.
At least during the Hagar years, CVH wasn't tarnished because Van Hagar was a different band and didn't even play 95% of CVH songs live anyway.
Now, all is lost and Dave knows it.
