The negative comments began with Van Halen. Dave was willing to say nothing but positive things about what the band did but Edward couldn't keep his mouth shut. Unbelievable.

Even worse, the hired replacement insulted Dave. Sammy should have stayed out of it.

I would say after all these years, Dave won. Who remembers Van Hagar now. All those albums are forgotten and it's back to the classic Roth era stuff.

I mean playing some of that Van Hagar stuff sounds dated now. Running With the Devil sounds timeless.
