Has Anyone ever Caught Shit For Playing CVH/DLR?

Just curious had it happen to me a couple weeks ago while lifting weights at my workout place. I always have to hear shitty Nu Metal while lifting, You know the type of Metal with Nu Guitar Solos and mainly focues of the weird noises the drums and the lead singer has that bitchy whiny voice. So I decided I was fed up with this shit and Brought VHI in and played it.

Okay so about 95% Are enjoying it, Its awesome. Then Some Asshole Lifting Steroid Freak comes in and flips it off and says "This Music Sucks, It's not lifting music". I come up to the jackass and tell him it's better than listening to some asshole whine the whole time. So now I am back to being forced to listen to Shitty Nu Metal Again.

Anyways Anyone else ever had something like this happen to them?

It happens all the time with me. I was at a cast party that my friend threw after this one play we did at school. So far all we've had is rap, punk, and this new r and b shit. So I grabbed the CD player and I put in my copy of ALAE. The dancing, the snacking, hell the making out stopped dead. Needless to say, Zach made me take it out and he put in Guns N Roses to make up for it

My buddy cant stand Daves voice. He says what every sheep says: "Dave doesn't sing, he talks" and "Dave screams, so he doesn't have to hit the high notes".

I normally just turn the volume up. He works for me, so I constantly play CVH and solo Dave. I have a 4 disc set that I made called 'Anthology Dave'. About 80 songs total.

All the time. If you live in the UK like me, Van Halen are only known for Jump. People laugh if you say you like Van Halen. Then all these idiots listen to these shitty bands like Arctic Monkeys and Kaiser Chiefs (if you're lucky enough to live in the US you won't have had the misfortune to hear these inept ponces 'play').

It's also funny, cos you get these wankers who know fuck all about guitar playing and will go 'Oh Jimi Hendrix this, Jimi Hendrix that.' When I point out the obvious fact that Eddie OWNS Hendrix in almost every aspect of guitar playing and musicianship they look at me like I just stepped off that spaceship that Fatso Hagar reckons beamed him up.

But I'll tell you one thing, they can ridicule me all they like. I have the best six records ever recorded at home to console myself with.

Well, no offense to you, but a lot of the new British "bands" suck. And they're Hendrix fascination gets a bit old. Just a question: do Def Leppard and Iron Maiden get ANY credit over there?

None taken. The musical taste of 95% of Britain is fucking appalling. And they're all up their own arses as if the UK is still the musical barometer for the rest of the world. LMAO, we're just another regional market nowadays, let's face it.

Maiden are kind of appreciated in a slightly tongue in cheek way. Def Leppard do their own thing really. Never been that much of a fan of either myself. Would rather hear em than some of these new bands tho.
