Ok chaps and chapettes, its time for the big one, the all important collosal question: what is the greatest riff of all time?

Here are my personal 5 favourties, in no particular order:

Metallica "Master of Puppets"

Van Halen "Ain't Talkin' Bout Love"

Black Sabbath "Symptom of the Universe"

Badlands "High Wire" (Jake E Lee is totally underated)

Megadeth "Kill the King" (not a great song, but a killer of a riff)

I aren't saying I'm right, just after some opinions.

I take it all back, the greatest riff of all time is clearly "There's only one way to rock"

Just Kiddin'!

It's "I can't drive 55"

No I'm just fuckin' about

"Look What The Cat Dragged In" is way underrated.

Moving to House Of Music.

I'll say AC/DC's "Big Gun", though tomorrow I'll say something else.

"Black Dog". I mean the studio version, not the light, jazzy sounding thing they played on stage.
But there are so many great riffs...

Everybody gives Poison shit...myself included. BUT, I heard that title track on Serius' "Hair Nation" not too long ago. It's a grate riff/song that has stood the test of time. Possibly the band's defining musical moment!

Anyway, here's another for the list of endless riffs.

binnie

Actually you have a point there.

They are an overlooked part of the late '70's and 80's.

"Doctor, Doctor", so simple but effective

"Rock Bottom", both killer!
