I bought this today, but didn't listen to it yet.

I heard some of it on a radio show with the Chili Peppers on it and it was pretty damn funky.

I've seen the music video for the single Dani California is awesome.

Any opinions?

Yeah, it's better than the last one.

If I was being critical I'd say it's too long, as though people didn't want to offend each other by rejecting their songs.

But they've been going twenty plus years and they are still huge, so they are doing somethin right.

There are a handful of good tracks.. I agree that it is much better than their last release.. Enjoyed their performance on SNL as well..

Although I skipped buying the last one cos I also thought "Californication" sucked, I think I'm going to buy this one. From what I've heard so far, it sounds pretty good. I dig the fact that they recorded it in the same house and in the same fashion that they did "BloodSugar" in '91. Fuck, ANYTHING will be better than those last two pile of shit albums. I want them to rock out with their cocks out instead of whining and acting like R.E.M. or Dave Mathews. Blehhhh.
