Me and ol' Aluminium Dave Hendrick at the Phillo statue in dublin. 'Lizzy' are still touring but hell... so were the van halens. Without the main man it's shit pub band stuff.

Waiting For An Alibi is my fave.

                Phil was brilliant.

Kinda think Sykes should've left well enough alone far as touring under the name Lizzy these days, though. Fucks sake, he was in the band for all of 5 minutes...

Bad Reputation is the most underated album.

                  Phil's voice is great

And when they had Gorham and Robertson, they were a tour de force!

Thin Lizzy... One of the few bands who successfully combined hard rock-dynamics, pop-sensibility and story-telling lyrics into one big hairy ball of super-catchy music.

I love 'em. I have everything between "Fightin" and "Thunder And Lightning".
Why settle for something you have, if it's not as good as something you're out to get?

I've always listed Lizzy as one of the most underated bands. In terms of talent, I think they were among the very best in rock. A poet as a singer/bassist, and always fantastic guitarists. The songs are phenominal. The albums always cohesive, strong efforts. I can't think of a single album that wasn't good.

It's so crazy to watch documentaries on the band. Phils's mom always talks about how she wanted him to get off smack, and he's show her his arms, to show they were needle-mark free....but she would go into his room at night and see the marks between his toes....

Fucking tragic how this guy, among so many others was a rock-star victim....
