I figured I'd inquire about y'all's opinion of this cover after spitting salsa all over the table earlier. Long story short, this fat lady got up just raising hell after the "masturbating with a magazine" line....just screaming about how her kids were there. She just kept ranting...told them to "TURN THAT SHIT OFF!!" That's when the head illegal wander'd over and went, "yoo dont need to cursing" or some shit.(enter salsa spew) Then it got louder!!! They eventually put on some of that rio grande polka.
IMO, It's a good cover...maybe better than the original.
Any thoughts?
Prince's original is the song that inspired the PMRC.
Which was very mild in terms of big-brotherism compared to the bullshit that's going on today.
I like the Foo's version...I like their version of Baker Street too.

I like the original more
But I'm glad that it can still piss people off
PMRC etc just need to get a life
Where do these people live if they think that bad language on records is the biggest problem in society?

Roth's version of Baker Street is the pinnacle.

I was under the impression that Tipper Gore started the PMRC, but I may be wrong

You've got a good point....Roth makes it his own.
The Foo's version still kicks ass.
