Meatloaf: Fat ass, No class, or Bad ass?

No question about the dude's focus...he belts those four-hundred-and fifty pound vocals out like a tomorrow with no velveeta.

That being typed, was it all Steinman? Did the Loaf have him living in fear of being placed on a large hoagie roll?

Like, write a cliche'-ridden meal ticket, or I'll boil ya?

    Great songs, arrangements, etc.

Like the Dave and Ed chemistry, Steinman and Meatloaf (and Elen Foley !) had it happening.

Anyone remember "Rock and Roll Dreams come true" ??
I think it was Steinman actually singing one of his songs,
it had Meatloaf written all over it...

Also "Total Eclipse of the Heart" (Bonnie Tyler)
    Thats signature Steinman right there...

Meat delivered the goods, but Steinman created the goods.

I've never liked Meat Loaf - just too theatrical for me.

Not saying he is bad, or had no talent, just not my thing.

I thought the 2nd Bat album was awful.

Apparently ML is suing Steinman for $50 Million. ML wants to record a third BOOH album, but Steinman is not interested and refused to allow ML the use of the BOOH name.

      Gotta laugh.

I always prefered ML in movies, Fight Club for example....

I liked the Loaf when he sang for Nugent (Free for All era).

He's been milking "Bat' for almost 30 fuckin years. Time for Meat to forget about it and move the fuck on.

          Meatloaf ?

          Gravytrain ? ...

          Hmmmmmm ..........................

I like the imagination Meatloaf incorporates into his album titles.
“Great losses often bring only a numb shock. To truly plunge a victim into misery, you must overwhelm him with many small sufferings.”

For just being fun to listen to Meatloaf is great. For making fun of while listening to Meatloaf is great. For actually making respectable music Meatloaf sucks.

Steinman's best achievement anyway was the masterpiece ballad "Total Eclipse of the Heart." Meatloaf needs him, though.

Meat's daughter is surprisingly good-looking, though, considering her dad is Meatloaf. She's married to Scott Ian I think.

Meat Loaf was fucking dynamite back in the 70s...and put out some quality stuff in the 80s when nobody was looking...

Had a bit of a resurgence there in the 90s too. Jim and Meat Loaf work well together, and it's too bad Bat Out of Hell III doesn't have any of Jim's songwriting...without that Broadway/theatrical aspect to it (which I'm sure Meat Loaf's writing team will try to re-establish), it'll probably suffer.

I'm still buying it the day it comes out, though, regardless.
