I was listening to Michael Angelo Batio and Buckethead today... Why do these dudes never use real drums? The drum kits they use are so fucking annoying!! The only virtuoso I can think of that utilizes real drums is Yngwie Malmsteen.

Unleash The Fury does NOT have real drums...

I downloaded those off usenet, but I haven't listened to them yet. I only like the album with You Dont Remember, I'll Never forget on it. I forgot the name.

Why can't these brilliant guitarists get a fucking drummer?

I would love Buckethead, but I HATE ELECTRIC DRUMS. There is no attitude.

There is a Michael Angelo Instrum named 2X Again that would be awesome if there were real drums to be found.

Maybe they think people can't tell the difference...

Or, maybe drums are not important to them, just their gUiTaR...

I totally agree with you...

I totally agree with you...

It makes the entire song sound very cheap. It almost makes you wonder if the guitar wasn't made in Guitar Pro 5 or some shit.

I'm not a fan of electric drums either, though i don't hate them. Buckethead still rocks!

I need a Bonzo, an AVH, an Eric Singer, a Cozy Powell, etc...... otherwise I can't get into the music well.

I am not a big fan of electric drums, but they don't always sound too bad. I usually don't mind when I hear electric drums in a song.

They don't have enough attitude. Check out the zip file {466 kb containing 2 small mp3 excerpts} to really get a feel for cool vs shit.

Good and bad drums example.. http://rapidshare.de/files/25870382/drums.zip.html

BucketHead plays on the album Transmutation (By Praxis) with Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and the great drummer Brain (Later era Primus). It's a killer pairing of blazing guitar, funky ass bass and a real live groove machine of a drummer...
