Does anybody remember Raging Slab?

They were a great band....

Thanks for the clip of MOTHERS FINEST ... never seen them before ... HOWEVER ... :D ... one night there was a not very advertised show at the same STATION I met DAVE! The reason I mentioned not advertised was ... in all there was about ten people MAX at this show on a rainy Saturday evening! The club was just reopening and the band name was not familiar s I guess that led to no sales! The band was named MARSHA CLARKE and fronted by JESSE JAMES of JACKYL! This was a side project he was testing out with the members of MOTHERS FINEST! They was jammin' and I'd have like to have seen a CD released! After about an hour and a half jamming with some tunes that ended up on a Jackyl CD like "I want to put my finger in you!" and "I want more 'cuz I'm a whore!" They took a break to play some pool with us and then it was back on stage they went for another 45 minutes! One of the best nights of my life!

Stranger?!?

They freaking rocked live and their first release was awesome. They NEVER got the press or blessings of the record company though.

Not a big fan of the faux SKYNYRD! Jonny VanZant had some good solo stuff!

Wasn't it something like, "MY band really heats up the stage, and I like to feel it in my feets!"
:D

Douglas T.

Yeah something along those lines! He probably used that line as much as DAVE uses some of his! "Howdy Doody mountain!" The lights would also heat the stage as the show progressed and I always figured he was refering to that! I am a bigger ROTH fan than RONNIE but Douglas T. Van Halen or Douglas T. Roth just sounds gay ... I'm glad my friends pegged me Douglas T. SKYNYRD 25 something years ago .. that just sounds better! I was originally called Douglas T. Fairbanks but quikly became Skynyrd just after that! I don't try to make it all about me it just ends up that way!

I've heard alot of different takes on the Skynyrd deal. I'm certainly no authoritarian.

It's all good.

Wow, what an ass-kicking performance.

Not much into the Southern rock thing -even though I am a Southern Belle;)

However, I used to really dig Molly Hatchet and Mother's Finest. And, though not exactly Southern rock, I do love the twang CoC has acquired in recent years.
