Dave should put out some new stuff

After watching the show last night I thought about how Dave should collaborate with B. Young. I'll bet he could come up with some killer riffs. I'm not sure, but I think Brian co-wrote "Thugpop" which I think is a pretty good song. I'd sure love to hear more of that. I'm really becoming more and more impressed with this Brian Young. I play guitar myself and am really inspired by his playing.

They say they completed an entire albums worth of new

music some time ago. It is up to Dave when or if it

    ever gets released.

I was at a show a couple of years ago courtesy of Ray Luzier. I met up with Ray before the show, and he said that they did record a bunch of new material for an album, but also the covers. He said the new stuff was rock and roll, pure and simple, but he didn't think it was what Dave was going to put out. He also said Brian could write some shit, but Dave was probably going to put out what people already knew.

Now, Ray has moved on, probably to play fresh material, and who knows if Brian can write, or if Ray was just saying good things about his bandmate, who obviously has the psyche of a chick.

If Roth comes up with fresh material, outstanding, but at this late stage of the game, I'm becoming more and more disenchanted with all these guys.

Yeah, and Edward talks like he has songs from here to the moon...

As a matter of fact, the best three showed up on the last 'Best Of'...

Sounds to me like even Dave didn't like it...

Probably worse than 40 Below and Cheatin' Heart Cafe...

You can't just assume it would be all kick ass...

I Imagine John Lowrey had a certain amount of control on the DLR Band album, especially considering he's the one who approached Dave at a time when he wasn't doing much...

And he wrote every good song on the album, almost...

A real studio album with Lowrey would be a good idea...

Theres also the theory that any decent "new" material Dave might supposedly have, is being saved for something a little more significant....

                    Who gives a fuck.

                    New music...no new music...

                    shitty...not shitty...

why debate what's not there...or ever going to be there...

and if he is "saving" music for "something more significant," well...

he could be saving for eternity...

at this stage of the game...any talk of anything new is a fucking waste of time...

and damn it...there go those fucking 3 minutes of my life...
"Van Halen was one of the most hallelujah, tailgate, backyard, BBQ, arrive four hours early to the gig just for the parking lot bands. And still to this day is. It's an attitude. I think it's a spirit more than anything else is."

My point was new stuff with B. Young. But then again, anything after Skyscraper would be new stuff to me because I haven't bought anything from Dave beyond that except for "Diamond Dave" which I don't like very much. I would like to hear some of his stuff he did with John 5 which I think was from the DLR album (I think that's the name of it).

                      BTW Happy Birthday Pojo.
