Black Sabbath R'n'R Hall Of Fame

Induction speeches by Lars and James of Metallica. Fuck, i thought Sabbath had been inducted ages ago! Shows you what low appreciation metal has.

Metallica performing Hole In The Sky and Iron Man. I'm positively surprised by James's voice! It keeps up the strength while going for the high notes!

Metallica is playing a step and a half under where Sabbath played it.
so there are no high notes.

A step and a half is 3 frets lower, so it makes a big difference for the vocalist if it's in a different key.

you can bet your ass...half a step can already help you a lot...many bands do it live...tune down the guitars...

Wasn't Sabbath usually tuned down to D anyway?

                Hole in the Sky, great!

Ozzy won't sing a lot of the Sabotge era stuff cos he can't hit the notes anymore!

                  Not usually, but occasionally.
Into the Void, sabbath bloody Sabbath, and Lord of this World were some drop D ones, but most were standard, even though their tone made it sound lower than it was at times. A lot of the Dio stuff was Eb,
I think Under the Sun from Volume 4 was C#.

My pitch is far from perfect but holy fuck how could i miss it?!! I can only attribute it to being completely wasted while i posted it (as i was all weekend) and to the fact i haven't listened to the original Black Sabbath stuff in a long time.
