I have no expectations left of Edward. None at all.

Gave him the benefit of the doubt throughout the Van Hagar years, and even through the Van Halen 3 period (there were a few seeds on that album that might have been developed into something worthwhile to listen to) that it was the chemistry with the post-Roth singers that made his efforts fall short for me...that he had just gotten a bit lazy, and given the right circumstances he would still be able to turn my ear on end.

And if he was still producing a high-volume output of material, I'd possibly be willing to write off this softcore porn foray as a quickie one-off, like his participation in the Starfleet Project...the issue isn't the genre of film he involved himself with, either (don't care for softcore porn, myself, only because I don't like my filth that clean).

Yes, it's neat to see him with Frankie doing a scissor-split again, but this music, along with Van Halen 3 and the BOBW tunes, is representative of what he's put out there in a DECADE. And even putting the meager amount of music he's managed to release aside, the sting would be lessened if it all had been killer stuff...

This just isn't.

Had been hoping Ed would go the instrumental route for awhile now if he wasn't gonna work with Dave, but if this is a preview of that...yikes.

I agree. These days, it's nice to see Ed doing SOMEthing...ANYthing.

Only useful thing about 2004 and this new project is it confirms that
a) he's not dead yet
b) he's still got some of that old gear left
