This is from the variety sketch show from 1996... The Dana Carvey show. Which was cancelled only after seven episodes. The final episode was sponsored by Taco Bell, and featured Bob Dole eating a burrito made with the heart of a Mexican immigrant. The next day the show was cancelled.It was a very funny political show... the show would have been a hit if it was on Comedy Central instead of NBC.

That was a great show. Very cutting edge actually, you forget how talented Dana Carvey could be since most of his movies suck. But he was a great improvisational performer.

Dana Carvey was a victim of his two most popular characters. Garth Algar and Poppy Bush. Once they fell out of popularity, there really wasn't anywhere left for him to go.
