so at the guitar center they say they only have the one on display available and to order one will take 2 to 3 weeks. so i know that guitar has been there only for about a week and my friend can get me a discount on it. so what should i do??

get the display or order a new??

I you like how the display model plays and sounds buy the damn thing. Plus, since it's the display model you can dicker the price down a bit.

Guitars are notoriousely inconsistant because they are made from wood which varies in it's tonal properties from one batch to another. The one you order might not toot your horn like the one in the store does.

However, the quality of the Jap guitars are quite consistant, so I wouldn't worry wither way...

Consistant guitars means they are really checking the moisture content of their wood and grading it before production. This whole process costs a lot of extra money to do well and many manufactures don't put the best wood into their guitars.
