Copy the URL of the YOutube vid you want into the text box at this
website..

http://keepvid.com/

Make sure when/after you download the file to rename
the file extension to .flv

Heres a good, free FLV file viewer.....

This works with the lastest version of Youtube...

Go Crazy guys, Google had to takedown over 26,000
videos alone today, due to copyright threats.....

Hi Mark!

Thanks for the heads up. I have a bunch of videos saved in "my favorites" at youtube. I assume those will go away if google yanks them. Is that right?

Is there a way I can move the whole bunch of them at once or do I need to go one by one.

I suck at this stuff.

Thanks;

DG

Hi DG, hope its all going well there now !
Best wishes to your girl !

You would need to play each file first, then copy the
address into that Keepvid site as per the above instructions...
A bit laborious, but it will work...

I cant see anyway you can transfer them all in one hit....

Cheers,

-Mark

And yes, Google will yank them if the owner of the copyright
threatens them...
90% of the stuff you see I reckon would be copyrighted...
So get em while ya can ! :)

I know a way of extracting the MP3 audio from these videos
too, but I will make another thread about that later....

Fucking corporatists have neutered YouTube like they did Napster. They'll be charging you $1.99 to view each video within 6 months, and all that will be left is all the "cute babies and cats" type of shit you could get from "America's (not really) Funniest Home Videos".

Just get Firefox, and download the Video Downloader plugin. No need to go to any certain website to save your vids.

Is there any way to convert these .flv files to a file that can play on a DVD player
