Aerosmith rips off Def Leppard cover art

Is it just me or did Aerosmith just blatantly rip off the Def Leppard "Retroactive" cover art with their latest greatest hits album (how many greatest hits albums is that now?) "The Devil's Got A New Disguise" cover art? You decide...

Pretty good song, though, classic Aerosmith! Why can't they make a new album full of original material like that, anymore?

WOW! Pretty fucking blatant rip-off. But then Aerosmith has been a rip-off for the last 15 years. A saw a copy of their recent set-list:

Aerosmith and Leppard are both only good for greatest hits records and flogging the oldies on the road anyway, so just makes sense they should rip-off one another's cover-art.

They've both been done for years, so I guess it probably doesn't matter much.

Dear God, these guys never stop releasing these packages with a couple of new songs.

Go get Joe Perry's recent solo cd for some real music.

It's only blatant because of the font of the writing.... Guess Steve and the boys are really hard up on creativity.

That art has been used in different ways for a while on album covers. It's a takeoff on a Dali painting, I believe. Alice Cooper Used it to good effect on his album Dada:

But Aerosmith has ripped off album covers before- look at Just Push Play:

which looks a lot like 80's hard rock band Autograph's album...

This new greatest hits album is insulting. So were the last two.

That said, you're wrong about their setlists.

I saw them this year. They opened with Helter Skelter and threw in Draw the Line, Kings and Queens, and Seasons of Wither among other badass songs.

Yeah they played some crap too, but you gotta pee sometime.
