Marcus Allen and Charles White should both be on there. Shit Marcus Allen was the first back ever to eclipse 2,000 yards in a season, and he did it on a decent, not great USC team.

Charles White was incredibly dominating, and single-handedly beat Ohio St. in the '79 Rose Bowl.

For neither to make at least the honorable mention "depth chart" is a surprise.

Ricky Bell was another solid USC back.

      Pretty interesting show.

Oh shit I didn't even see that Bell wasn't on there either..well if Marcus Allen and Charles White weren't, Bell sure as hell wouldn't be.

          Marshall Faulk - SDSU Aztecs

          Should have stayed a Colt.

It's hard for me to comment on this without knowing the background on it...

I never SAW Archie play...but you'd have to imagine that a 2 time Heisman winner would be higher than 6...

Herschel WAS awesome...and can't argue with #1 per se...

but agree with Brett...that some USC backs should at least be on the radar...

I wonder if this poll would have been done a few years ago...if they wouldn't have been on there...

              In my opinion...

Marcus Allen and Charles White SHOULD be ranked higher than Reggie Bush...

their accomplishments far exceeded Bush's IMO...

yes, Bush was electric...but MA and CW were both THE players on their respective teams...

              and they dominated...

he SHOULD have won the Heisman twice....

Well as far as USC-fans and alums go. At the games we always talk about great backs and stuff with the people around us. Obviously I wasn't alive to see OJ play at USC, but the old guys who were say other than OJ, Reggie Bush is the best running back in school history. No back could change a game with one play more than Reggie, except OJ. At least this is what USC fans who have seen both say.

Sims was a good one Matt ... he should have made the depth chart.

Bush was great, but for as many seasons as White and Allen? Probably not.

Too bad Barry didn't have at least on more season, he could have been ... man, who knows ... 2,600+ in his one full time starting year?

                    Christ ...

Rozier of Nebraska may be a fringe honorable mention.
