CVH was built up by word-of-mouth as much as anything else...that's why Dave called them "the People's Band".

CVH launching their tour by making an appearance on a show where the music business basically sticks its collective head between its legs, farts, then televises how great they think it smells, ain't Van Halen's style. Least not the Van Halen and CVH attitude I want to remember.

Plus, CVH and the music still retain power and meaning; those attributes have nothing in common with today's popular music scene.
