Now I'm showing my age...
Who liked 'em?
Who hated 'em?

The Babys were never anything essential, IMO...
but then John Waite wasn't really anything exceptional after the Babys, either.
The first band ruined by Jonathan Pussy Cain.

I have a handful of their songs on a CD-R laying around somewhere. Ok to listen to now and then, and certainly better than anything Jon Waite did after the fact.
I was really into them for a while back in the day...not so much years later, of course.

Exactly, exactly
Last I knew...the drummer & guitarist were in HUMBLE PIE....
How there is a HUMBLE PIE without Steve is a mystery......

Guy I lived next to in my college dorm used to play that Union Jacks non-stop. Got sick of it after awhile. They did have some good tunes back in the early 80's though, Midnight Rendevous et al.

John Waite makes me wanna vomit. And I could never get past
a group of grown men dubbing themselves "The Babys."

Solid musicians, for sure. Either you were into their stuff or you weren't; one of those bands that you REALLY loved or REALLY hated, I don't think to this day I've ever met anyone that was 50/50 about them.
Mostly forgotten about now...
