Val Kilmer Rumor of playing "DLR" in Movie

For those here in SoCal, you may have heard on the Mark & Brian Show on KLOS (LA's only Classic ROCK Station), Val Kilmer was guest and they asked him if the rumor was true that he'll be playing the character of "David Lee Roth" in an upcoming movie (I think this is the Motley Crue movie?) - He said he never heard about it........so, folks, another one of those so-called rumors that has Zilch truth behind it.

Who started this rumor anyway? Ed's porn publicist girlfriend?

I thought Kilmer did an excellent job on Morrison.

I saw the article in Rolling Stone about Kilmer but things can change I guess.

Christopher Walken as Ozzy? Here's the imdb link for the project.

Interesting. I did notice from the IMDB link that Walken's wife's partner, Sheila Jaffe, is listed as the casting director. Walken's wife, Georgianne Walken, is also a casting director (Walken & Jaffe did the casting for The Sopranos, Deadwood and a ton of other stuff).

Christopher Walken is an amazingly versitile actor, but I can't see him playing a 1980's Ozzy Osbourne without a lot of make-up to make him look much younger - he's getting up there in his age!

Val Kilmer's a little old to be playing a 1980's DLR too.

Val did do an excellent job in the Doors movie. However, not only is he a little old but he has really let himself go. I saw a photo of him not too long ago and almost did not recognize him. He has put on serious weight.

Yea, he could lose the weight but what about the age.. I just can't see him being cast for this..
