76ers confirm trade of Allen Iverson

Fox News Philadelphia is now reporting that the 76ers will in fact trade Allen Iverson.

Iverson has been bitching all season about not "having fun"...and he reportedly stormed into GM Billy King's office this week demanding a trade.

It appears he will get his way.

And so the Iverson era ends in Philadelphia...without a championship. I guess he wasn't "The Answer."

We seem to have that kind of luck here in Philly.

Remember when Eric Lindros was the Flyers "answer?"

Should be interesting ... now where does he fit, and what is another team willing to give up.

      I've heard a few rumors...

      I've heard the Celtics...although that's backed down...

But the most interesting to me is Cleveland...

      I've heard a (choose one) Zydrunas/Hughes

a few of the following (expiring contracts that will open up the $$$ floodgates for Philly next year): Ira Newble, Sasha Pavlovic, Anderson Varejao, Scot Pollard and possibly David Wesley

And (choose 1): Shannon Brown or Daniel Gibson

Preferably, Cleveland would exchange Hughes, Pavlovic, Wesley, Newble...and Brown...

for Iverson and Korver or Hunter...

      who cares...

      the key is getting Iverson...

would be interesting watching him and Lebron...on the same court...

of course...they could end up killing each other as well...

but who cares...as long as they bring a title...

I know the Boston talk was pretty big last off season.

I don't know who you can get from Boston though...

I can't fathom you choose Iverson over Pierce...

I agree, it would have to be a package of youth, and try and pair Pierce and Iverson.

I wonder if they try and get him off the East Coast completely.

              Well...

you'd have to wonder if the Lakers might try and get involved...

I know that Phoenix would have been interested...and may still be...

perhaps Dallas...trying to make a move...and it would give Philly a guard that could go toe to toe with Nash...and outscore the shit out of him...

I wonder how he'd do on a team like San Antonio?

              Dallas?...hmmmm...

I just don't see the players though...

                for Boston...

unless Philly takes a bunch of shit players, with no real return...to get free of the cap...

...with the hope of getting a guy like Oden...

Dallas doesn't need Iverson...they are a good enough team without him, and he would hurt, not help them. I can't see him going to the Lakers, with Kobe there. Knicks, perhaps? They could use some more talented players, although it is a very real possibility that Marbury and Iverson would end up killing each other...hmmm...trade him to the Knicks!

So...the Knicks need another PG/SG hybrid?

                        holy hell no...

                        and Iverson's talents are underrated...

on the right team...he makes them immediate champion considerations...

and I'm sorry...the current Maverick makeup will never get them a title...

they are really good...but just not great...

I actually take that back...the Mavs could develop into a title winner...I just don't see them there yet...

                          we'll see...

and if you don't think Cuban wouldn't make a move to get Iverson...you are kidding yourself...

Boston would have to come with draft picks to complete it.

Miami just lost Payton tonight for what might be some time, and no Williams as he is in and out with that knee.

Miami might need him just because they need guards. Wade plays more 2 guard that way, saves wear and tear.

                              Yeah...but who do you deal?

                              Walker of course...but who else...

You can't deal Haslem without Shaq...

and remember...you have to be within 15% of Iverson's 17 million a year...

I don't think Miami can do it...
