    Nevermore: Do you like them?

I have to say that Nevermore's sound is really growing on me. I love the album "The Politics of Ecstasy".

    Thoughts?

"This Sacrament" and "The Seven Tongues of God" seriously kick ass.

Nevermore are awesome. Dead Heart in a Dead World is probably one of the very best thrash albums out there. "Narcosynthesis" is probably one of my top twenty-five favorite songs of all time (excluding all Maiden.) It's very dark and heavy. Apocalyptic sounding and it's nice to hear a thrash band with an intelligible vocalist.

I'm convinced Metallica actually ripped them off on one of their newer songs. I don't remember the song title since I don't give newer Metallica the time of day, but I swear there is chord progrression exactly like the one right after the chorus of "We Disintegrate." It is very obvious.

Their guitarist, Jeff Loomis, actually auditioned for Megadeth several years back, but didn't get the gig because he was only 16 at the time.

Never heard them. I'll check them out and let you know. I have to say, I haven't been keeping up with Nu Metal, since so much of it sucks monkey ass.
      Stay Frosty, muthas!

I gotta go with Sparkie on this and recommend "Dead Heart in a Dead World". That disc is amazing and very intense. has a very dark mood to it.

Okay...so I went to cdnow and listened to the samples from an album called Enemies of Reality...What utter shit! These guys sound like a gay version of Mercyful Fate without the cool frontman, and the great music. How the FUCK can you guys think these poufy fags are cool??? Maybe I just heard a bad album, but honestly...that singer makes Tiny Tim seem manly.....

Dude, we recommended 2 specific albums... try those and come back.

That's like dismissing CVH after hearing Dancing in the Streets.

                      No, it's not.....

This album I listened to was not Dancing in the Streets, dude, it was fucking Poundcake. It was fucking When It's Love...it was fucking Right Now.

There's no way that any band that makes fag music like I heard can be good. No way. NONE. Period. Comparing them to any CVH is FUCKING AWFUL!!!!

But it's just my opinion. Listen to shit if you want to.

I'm glad we all agree that I'm awesome....

But seriously, not giving something another chance is pretty ignorant.

I dig em, but they're one of those bands I have to be in the right mood to listen to.

The playing is always top notch...
