Good Tele's can be awesome!!! I've still never owned one but there's one inparticular that has been on my wish list for years. The only one I play on a semi-regular basis is my buddy's Buck Owens" Signature Model. It's a fun axe and has a nice, crisp tone.

Heeya it is:

I want a '72 Thinline, with the two humbuckers, natural finish, pearl pickguard, "F" hole and a maple neck. Maybe next year?

One just like this:

Yup, that "Buck" is definitely fun to play. Tele's have always just sounded too "thin" for me. Regardless, I still like them and especially if I find one with a nice and fat neck. I can go to town. :killer:

Did Joe Walsh play one during the James Gang years?

Cool thread, btw

Thanx. I think Joe played one of everything and still does. Though the Tele seems very dominant on a lot of their recordings. I myself like to use a Tele for doubling guitar tracks when recording (ala Page)
They are perfect for adding definition to tracks....
Ya can't beat their twang.

Dunno but I've always liked "Eminence Front?" Cool Tune IMO.

When I saw them in '89 Roger played a gold Strat during the song. Regardless, nice find Ford!!!

I have a little plan...

I'm going to buy myself a new mobile phone (iPhone I believe), but if that thing costs over 5000 NOK I'm going to buy that white Uber Hot telecaster they have at the guitarshop.

Personally I want the Tele more than any fucked up phone.

Prince is one hell of a rock and roll guitarist- when he feels like it of course... Not to often he rocks out like this, but when he does, he totally steals the show!

One cheap Hohner Telecaster and two magic hands!!!

Very cool!

The Telecaster is perhaps the most versatile electric guitar of all time. Simple, but VERY effective.

Jeff Beck used Teles too, as did Clapton.
