    percussion/drums

Does anyone think there are certain music genres in which percussion and drums should either be electronic or acoustic? Or maybe a mix of both in a single track?

I remember on The Prodigy 98'tour they used a double bass drummer on stage, That was pretty cool as it worked well with electronic samples.

Yes Katies fame now spreads to House of Music thanks to vanhalener.

So vanhalener do you know anything about music/drums that you would like to add?

Do not gate crash/highjack someone elses thread.

Katie doesn't rattle easily. I like that.
Yes Katie I know a tad about music.
I've been playing guitar for 25 years, piano for 30, not bad on drums, bass, and I play a mean sax.

I love various types of music, and like most other people I have my favorite artists.

Would you like to play my meat whistle.

Sorry Steve... you were asking about the drums.

            Steve,

Techno is one of the few that should maintain electronic percussion.

            Katie,

I have read some of your replies and you are a big gate crasher/hijacker yourself, from time to time. I've noticed your mood swings, but...

Just prefer the sound of acoustic drums, myself.

Not totally opposed to electronic drums here and there, but in general electronic drums and drum machines just sound cold and lifeless to me.
