1. 24 (Fox)
From its opening assassination shocker to its last-minute kidnap surprise, this dazzlingly audacious adventure put out its best season since the first — and its best sustained season ever. What other show left you this wound up, and this willing to rewind the clock?
24 is probably without a doubt THE most unengaging show I've ever seen. It was an interesting novelty when it started, but fucking christ, I can't FORCE myself to stomach Jack Bauers never ending stretch of bad days anymore...enough is fucking enough, already...
Rest of the top 10
2. Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
Fuckin' A - PRIMETIME soap opera fluff of absolutely ZERO consistancy or interest to anybody male and remotely intelligent. Who'd have thought it have been such a hit?
3. The Wire (HBO)
Haven't seen it, so I won't comment.
4. Lost (ABC)
"Lost" is exactly what Lost is. Completely worthless drivel, although it was alright for the first few weeks...
5. Rescue Me (FX)
Denis Leary is great, but also grating; I can stand accidently browsing over this from time to time, but it's torturous after too much exposure. Much like Denis Leary himself.
6. Friday Night Lights (NBC)
F.N.L. is a pile of steaming dog shit.
7. The Nine (ABC)
Haven't seen - won't comment.
8. Ugly Betty (ABC)
About as stupid as stupid can get. Is it supposed to be funny? Make you take a look at yourself or a scathing indictment of the fashion industry?
Fuck if I care. Maybe if the show was actually user friendly, I'd consider taking the time to try and figure it out, once I can get passed the convoluted mess of it's storylines.
9. The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS)
Really? Hey, somebody wake me up when Julia Dreyfuss can either act or make me laugh, one or the other...I watched three episodes (one last week) and I've had better times vomiting, honestly.
10. Dexter (Showtime)
Haven't seen - so no comment.
********
I'm completely flabbergasted that "Heroes", "My Name is Earl", "The Office" and ESPECIALLY "House" are absent from this list. Lost? Grey's Anatomy? New Adventures of Old Christine?
Give me a fucking break. Christ, Hugh Laurie on the screen BY HIMSELF is ten times more engaging and interesting than that brain dead garbage.
Just another case example of how out of touch USA Today is...
