Next Monday, January 8th, the Rock and Roll Hall of fame will announce VH entry into HOF, they made the cut. I am predicting a midweek press conference, ED, DLR, Alex announcing a summer 2007 tour, with a new boxed set from Warner Bros. The freighttrain is coming, VH will not let the police 2007 reunion rain on their parade.

Be nice to see the sisters and Diamond actually take a shot at it and see if they can still cut the mustard, if only to see Ed actually do something for a change...

But unless the 2004 Van Hagar earnings are starting to run out, I wouldn't bet on it.

I'll see it before I'll believe it.

Wait, what's this about a Police reunion? Has that been verified?

Holy shit , that title's straight from the book of Thudner !!!:D

On a serious note. Any official news would be a good thing. R&RH.O.F. or not .

January 8th should prove to be an interesting day. The question is: Who's going to make NOISE first?

Will it be the Porn Publicist speaking on Ed/Al's behalf?

Will it be from the New BassPlayer congratulating his Daddy and announcing his new found slot in the band, with after-party at the nearest Golden Arches ?

Will it be SPAM giving himself credit for bringing VH to the forefront of being noticed for the RNRHOF and then stating that Montrose will be the next nominee for which he also takes credit in it's success ?

OR FINALLY...

Will we hear something of humor from our Toastmaster General and his announcement of a CVH Concert.....not a Tour....just a Concert, since he's intelligent enough to know that as much as he's a willing participant to spar with EVH....the knockdown won't come from ROTH's punch or any clever martial arts swing, but rather the 32 oz. of Smoking Loon, Ed chugs before the performance ??

The mystery and intrigue await...

Dave will NOT reunite with VH. People need to wake up and smell the coffee (or Smoking Loon in this case..)

#1) Ed replaces Michael Anthony with his son...
#2) Ed names his new porn whore/girlfriend/golddigger as head of P.R. for VH..

DLR will NEVER accept Ed's "invitation" - an invitation to be nothing more than a hired hand who will have no say whatsoever on personel matters concerning the band as EVH has already proved with points #1) and #2); it's classic EVH ego at it's best and I would be beyond shocked if DLR accepts those terms.

EVH is once again trying to make DLR seem like the bad guy with his public invitation to DLR, knowing full well Dave will never accept the terms and conditions EVH has created.

Sorry to spoil the party but it simply isn't going to happen.

At best, we'll get a couple of tunes out of them at the R&R H.O.F. Induction but I don't see anything more than that happening.

I can't believe I lived long enough to see everybody posting seriously on a Joe Thunder thread...

Anything IS possible...

Cheers! :bottle:

there may be a prepared statement to go along with the HOF press release, but that's it for next week.

I already said this in House of Music, but I'd love to see a Van HALEN/Police co headlining tour. Full sets from each band, they can alternate opening and closing, and unlike a certain tour in 2002, it's a great show either way.

Sure, as long as they find a new manager. Can't let Ray Danniels anywhere near this tour!

Well, the posting style... the incoherent sentences, and the mentioning of a boxed set even...

The only thing that changes is that he's not "inside" this, he merely has a hunch. Other than that... Thunder Crap, all the way.

May not be Thunder, but I believe this guy deserves to be taken at least as seriously as that pedophile. :D

wow, that would be quite a show, as Van Halen, Rush, and the Police are my 3 favorite bands of all time. :) With EAS being a close 4th ;)

Sorry Furd, but people in Hell have a better shot at opening a chain of snowball stands than VH and The Police sharing the same stage.

Well, they shared the same stage at the US Festival. sort of....

I'll call Satan and give him your idea about the snowball stands though.

Yeah, but VH and the rest of the Hard Rock acts dominated that weekend and they attracted a larger audience than the alternative rock acts. I would take a VH reunion any day of the week over a Police reunion. But lets be realistic, a Police reunion would draw some serious crowds and steal away some attention from a VH reunion, especially if VH hits the road without the original line up. 96 was the year it should have happened.
