yesterday one of the high def channels on direct tv had a live concert of spammy playing in St. Louis. Mike came out after the first hour and then they played a bunch of Van Hagar Songs. I will say this- first, sammy looks HORRIBLE in high def. I mean, you can see how bad his skin is, and how fat he is. He is also really stupid between songs. But i will admit, he has a strong voice live. But he's about 1/10000 the front man Roth is. Its not even close. Of course, you all know this.

Oh, and Mike looked pretty good. He's lost weight. But watching him makes me think he WANTED this, so i can't say i'll be upset if he's not there when VH starts touring. But i'd rather see Sheehan out there than Eddie's fat kid. ;)

Mike isn't doing anything different in my opinion then Dave, or even Fat Sammy. When Ed sits around and doesn't do anything as a group, he thinks thats what they all should do, and gets pissed becasue they are out performing. Dave did his side projects while Ed was sitting around, Fat Sammy made the same complaint when they first split. I don't think for a minute Mike brought this on himself. That being said I'll go see this 2/3 VAnHalen version over the one missing Dave.
