A. Get it straight that Dave does need a straight man for his onstage laffs. Sammy is not a verified straight man - only his wife knows that.
Q. I read Dave sued VH, but recently he dropped the suit?
A. True, it was over a number of things not the least of which was a royalty dispute.
Q. So if he dropped the suit then Dave could percievably Jump! onstage with Van Hagar and bust out Running With The Devil cuz its all cool like that now?
A. No, Dave dropped a lawsuit and reinitiated a new one.
Q. Will Dave tour this spring/summer?
A. We haven't seen anything on the agenda yet, and his band are off doing other projects this season. Magic 8ball says: probably not.
Q. Why aren't you going to see Van Hagar, you're supposed to be a guitar player. don't you dig EVH?
A. I wouldn't waste the ticket knowing I'd have to refund it by the time they get to Los Angeles where I'm at - Like Chancellor Vellorum in "Star Wars" I'm giving this tour ".. a vote of No Confidence"

A. Bound with duct tape naked to a chair in the back room until its all over. Then we huff Chorophyl Hydrate from a rag to wipe any memory we might have of such a tours' existence.
There's no tour dates here.

There's very little post-1984 discussion of Van Halen here.

A. Knowing that Dave is everything Van Halen was and can never be without him is a good reference point.
Start there and work your way up thru his solo career points to know more about Dave than we do.
