View Full Version : What VH or Dave shows have you seen?

Here are the shows I've seen they include all eras as well as DLR and Sammy solo shows etc...

In order:

1981: Fair Warning Tour -
Pittsburgh Civic Arena AWESOME show best VH show I've ever seen.

1984: 1984 Tour -
Pittsburgh Civic Arena AWESOME show.

1986: 5150 Tour -
Pittsburgh Civic Arena Great show.

1986: Eat'em & Smile Tour -
Pittsburgh Civic Arena Great show.

1991: A Lil Ain't Enough Tour -
Tinley Park, IL This was not a very good show. The band was just okay and the crowd was weak in enthusiasm and numbers. They were actually charging $10.00 per car load just to get people in. VH history foot note... Extreme opened!!

1997: Marching To Mars Tour -
Universal Amphitheatre, Los Angeles
AWESOME show. Sammy was still skinny and had something to prove so he was in great form.

1998: Van Halen III Tour -
San Bernadino, CA Pretty Good show. It was just soooo weird to have a 3rd singer interpret 2 eras of VH plus incorporate new songs that no one semmed to care about. Gary did his best but in the end it just didn't feel like Van Halen.

2002: Sam & Dave Tour -
Universal Amphitheatre, Los Angeles
VERY diasappointing show. Sammy opened and was good but not great. The show did start with a retrospective film of Sammy's career which was cool. Mike joined him for 5 or 6 songs which was cool but it wasn't enough to save the show for me. Dave closed and was in my opinion... very poor. He hardly talked to the crowd and only sound half way decent on about 5 songs. The setlist was amazing and the band sounded great but Dave brought the show down with his stock 80's bullshit. DOA was the highlight of DLR's set... IMHO.

2004: Reunion Tour -
Worcester, MA Pretty good show. I was just excited to see the band live again. My seats were GREAT... 3rd row so that helped.

2004: Reunion Tour -
Staples Center Los Angeles, CA
Another pretty good show BUT I think by this show the band were probably arguing. There just wasn't a strong BAND vibe. Sam and Ed's chemistry at this point seemed forced.

2006: Livin' It Up Tour
Gibson Amphitheatre Los Angeles, CA. Pretty good show. The other half did not play at this show and that was the main reason I went. Sammy was in great voice and played a few VH songs I had not heard live such as "Good Enough" & "Mine All Mine"

So that's my live VH etc shows in a nutshell. I can't wait to see what VH Mach IV or Classic VH Mach II has in store for me.

After you sent homophobic/racist e-mails directly to my personal e-mail address there was nothing I could do BUT PM you. In the future try and keep the thread on the subject posted instead of your juvenile rants toward me.

Rumor has it that if you've seen Scrumley Hagar live more than once you come down with a rare version of the clap and herpes known to the Gaygar faithful as CLERPES.

This has been a public service message....and now back to your regularly scheduled...

Do you actually have a picture of your kid as your avatar and then a picture of a sheep fucking a pig in your sign off section????

Someone call social services as this parent has obviously used very poor judgement on a public message board.

Homoerotic?? Are you a southern Republican? If this harmless post makes you take a bath then I think you might have a bit of a problem. Yes Sammy was in good shape at this point and running around with his shirt off. When I describe Sammy's appearance it usually concerns his weight. When I describe Dave's appearance it's usually about his hair. Grab some soap and scrub a dub dub.

Whatever dude. You better be prepared to pay. You do pay for your people's phone bills? Right?

The basic premise of calling my people is an excersize in dipshitedness. See, I have no people. How's that for a logistical nightmare, you stupid motherfucker?

Fuck it. Enlist the legions of turd handlers at your disposal.

Chances are, each and every one of 'em will simultaneously speed-dial themselves.

Listen up General Hymen. Once again you can not prove any fucking thing you say. I'd like to see where I was racist. Just like with Dan you can't prove anything, you are just a Joesph McCarthy clone. Come back when you can prove something. I am not the one who started the arguement, YOU messaged me telling ME I'm not fucking 20.
